Herbs That Contain Gluten

Gluten, a protein composite, is naturally found in wheat and its related grain species. In the Chinese Herbal Pharmacopoeia, there are a few herbs that are from wheat or its related grain species, and therefore contain gluten. As such, we do not recommend prescribing any of this herbs to gluten-sensitive patients.
